Head of presidential administration dept for cooperation with CIS Voronin transferred to new post

MOSCOW. Oct 1 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has removed Yuri Voronin from office, he was the head of the Russian presidential administration's department for socioeconomic cooperation with CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The decree dated September 30 said Voronin was removed from the post due to his transfer to another position.

The decree was posted in the legal database.

The Kremlin department for cooperation with CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia was founded in June 2012. Voronin, who was a deputy health and social development minister when the ministry was headed by Tatiana Golikova, later took the position of a presidential aide overseeing socioeconomic development of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, was put in charge of the new department.

Golikova became the head of the Russian Audit Chamber a short time ago.
