Transneft to privatize 3.1% in 2016 - CEO

ILINKA (Astrakhan region). Oct 2 (Interfax) - Privatization of 3.1% of Transneft is not possible before 2016, Transneft CEO Nikolai Tokarev told the press.

The roadmap on privatization of this stake is more like a draft and Tokarev did not specify any of its details. "We will look at how this can be done without harm to the government or the company," he said.

He added that there are five privatization models.

It was reported earlier that OJSC Transneft would privatize 3.1% before the end of 2015. The privatization will take place within the framework of a government program to manage federal property.
