Georgian citizens not happy with economic policy of Ivanishvili's Cabinet - poll
TBILISI. Oct 4 (Interfax) - A total of 66% of respondents said they were unhappy with the actions of the Georgian government headed by Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, the U.S. research company, Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research, which held the poll upon the request of the President Mikheil Saakashvili's administration, said.
When asked whether they supported the actions of Ivanishvili regarding the economic development of Georgia, 66% said no and 25% said yes, the survey showed.
The number of those opposed to Ivanishvili's economic policy grew from 46% to 66% since May 2013, the research company said.
If the presidential elections are held in Georgia tomorrow, 43% respondents would support the candidate of the ruling coalition Georgian Dream Giorgi Margvelashvili and 22% would vote for the candidate of the former ruling party David Bakradze, the poll showed.
Representatives of the ruling coalition have not commented on the poll so far.
A total of 1,204 people participated in the poll, Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research conducted in Georgia between September 15 and September 24.
