Kalashnikov puts ordinance plant building cost at 2-3 bln rubles
IZHEVSK. Oct 4 (Interfax) - The overall price tag on the ordinance factory OJSC Kalashnikov plans to build could be as much as 2-3 billion rubles, the concern's corporate newspaper Mashinostroitel reports, citing the company's deputy general designer for its ordinance business, Dmitry Yudin.
"Before the end of the year we are to present a draft containing a full list of equipment, sites, indicating the cost of their reconstruction, setting up equipment," Yudin said. "We're hoping that in 2014-2015 we can engage in the reconstruction of the building and equip it, and in the first half of 2016 we will begin working on providing for our own ordinance requirements," he said.
The company's CEO Konstantin Busygin announced the plan to buil the factory in August.
Kalashnikov, which is controlled by the company group Rostec, encompasses OJSC Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, OJSC NITI Progress, OJSC Molot , and L.N. Koshkin KBAL.
Rostec proposes to turn over 49% of the stock in Kalashnikov to private investors, who would be the president and co-owner of TransMashHolding (TMH) , Andrei Bokarev and the general director of Aeroexpress and member of the TMH board of directors, Alexei Krivoruchko. The deal is expected to be worth 2.5 billion rubles.
