Usmanov: Sergeyev resigned for personal reasons, remains on my team

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Alisher Usmanov, the owner of Kommersant publishing house, has said that Dmitry Sergeyev left the post of president of the publishing house for purely personal reasons.

"Sergeyev's departure was caused only by his own personal reasons. He has to concentrate on his health and family now," Usmanov told Interfax on Wednesday.

"As soon as he resolves his problems, I greatly hope that he will return to our team. He remains on my team," Usmanov said.

He voiced hope that Sergeyev will "return to the level of the core holding".

"I am greatly satisfied with Dmitry Sergeyev's work. We will continue doing what he started. We will be making our Kommersant," the owner of the publishing house said.

Usmanov added that Vladimir Zhelonkin who is replacing Sergeyev as president of Kommersant publishing house "has great experience of work in the mass media."

"I wish Zhelonkin success," Usmanov said.
