Sultan of Brunei supports Russian-U.S. initiative for Syria

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah has praised the Russian-U.S. initiative that opened a window for diplomacy in the Syrian conflict.

Speaking at a session of the East Asia Summit on Thursday, the sultan also expressed hope that a peaceful solution would be found to the Iranian nuclear problem as well.
