Five cars followed Lon Snowden's car in Moscow - lawyer Kucherena

MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Russian lawyer Anatoly Kucherena has said that five cars followed him and Lon Snowden, the father of former CIA employee Edward Snowden, on their way to the TV studio.

"Security should be the prime concern of [Edward Snowden] and those who surround him today. At least five cars were following us, trying to understand where we were heading. And what should we do in such a situation?" Kucherena told the Rossiya 24 television station on Thursday.

"I was puzzled. I got out of the car and asked them. I understand that the interest is huge. But I would like to draw your attention to the fact that it is primarily a matter of Edward's security. I understand that everyone wants to know where the father will meet his son. But his security should be our top concern," the lawyer said.
