Lon Snowden hopes his son will stay in Russia

MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Lon Snowden, the father of former CIA employee Edward Snowden, has said he has a Russian multi-entry visas and would like to return to Russia many times.

In an interview with the Rossiya 24 television station, Lon Snowden expressed hope that his son would stay in Russia.

The elder Snowden, however, said he did not know where exactly Edward was living in Russia.

Edward Snowden is believed to be residing in the Moscow region.

"I met him yesterday," lawyer Anatoly Kucherena told Rossiya 24.

Kucherena spoke to an Interfax correspondent on the sidelines of a Russian Public Chamber session on October 9.
