Lukashenko tells reporters about criminal attempt to buy BPC
MINSK. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Russian businessmen have tried to acquire the government's share in the Belarusian Potash Company in a criminal scheme, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told the Russian media in Minsk on Friday.
"There has been an attempt to acquire BPC. Certain [businessmen] came here and said they would pay $10 billion to the country and $5 billion to me. I said let them come, we will put them to jail," Lukashenko said.
