Onishchenko: Lithuanian dairy products may return to Russia if Russian conditions are met
MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Lithuanian dairy products have a chance to return to the Russian market, Federal Service for Control in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumers' Rights and the Well-Being of Humans (Rospotrebnadzor) head, Russian chief public health official Gennady Onishchenko said after a meeting with the Lithuanian delegation.
"We had a professional conversation. A number of steps were planned to be taken in the near future," he said.
In the words of Onishchenko, Lithuanian dairy products may return to the Russian market. "Why should they not, if they meet the Russian conditions governing the observation of consumer rights laws," Onishchenko said.
