Former Rosneft VP chairs TransFin-M board

MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Former Rosneft vice president Peter O'Brien was elected chairman of the board of directors of OJSC TransFin-M (TFM), a Russian railway and motor vehicle leasing company, on Tuesday, TFM said.

O'Brien will technically be considered chairman of the board effective September 18.

The other six members of TFM's board are Nikolai Zhukov, deputy head of corporate finance at Russian Railways (RZD) ; Andrei Denisenkov, head of project financing at pension fund NPF Blagosostoyanie; Vadim Korsakov, chief executive of RVM Capital Management Company; Barry Rourke, director at 3Legs Resources (Poland); TFM head Dmitry Zotov; and Blagosostoyanie CEO Yury Novozhilov.

TFM, which also leases production equipment, is looking to enter the aircraft financial leasing market. The company is 95% owned by RusRailLeasing, which is controlled by Blagosostoyanie. TFM has a fleet of 26,800 freight cars, 129 passenger cars and 40 locomotives.
