Yukos convicts may qualify for amnesty - Human Rights Council member
MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Persons convicted in the Yukos case and some other high-profile cases may be eligible for the amnesty plan mapped out by the Presidential Human Rights Council, Council member and head of the National Anti-Corruption Committee Kirill Kabanov told Interfax on Wednesday.
"All non-violent crimes, among them economic offenses, will be eligible for the amnesty one way or another. Some of the Yukos convicts may qualify for the amnesty," Kabanov said.
"Possibly, Navalny, too," he said, referring to the Kirovles case.
"As to the Arctic Sunrise case, it is difficult to tell so far. The Pussy Riot convicts will soon be released anyway," Kabanov said.
