Snowden's father leaves Moscow, content with how his son treated in Russia - Kucherena

MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Lon Snowden, father of former employee of the U.S. special services Edward Snowden, has left Moscow, lawyer Anatoly Kucherena said.

"[Lon] Snowden was very satisfied with how he was welcomed in Russia and how his son is being treated," Kucherena told Interfax on Wednesday. "He still treats his son with great love and considers him to be an absolutely honest person who did a right thing. He will continue to support his son," the lawyer said.

"We exchanged gifts when saying good bye. Lonnie gave us two bottles of wine and we [gave him] vodka and English translations of [famous Russian writers, Nikolai] Gogol and [Mikhail] Saltykov-Shchedrin," Kucherena said.
