S. African authorities apologize to Kazakhstan
ASTANA. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov views an incident involving Kazakh diplomats in South Africa as settled.
"There was no robbery as such but only an incident," Idrisov told journalists in Astana on Wednesday.
"The South African authorities have been informed, they took every possible measure, provided assistance, refunded our delegation's money, and apologized at the highest level. The incident has been settled," he said.
South African media reported earlier that a delegation of Kazakh diplomats was robbed while traveling from the O.R. Tambo International Airport to Pretoria.
