Pharmaceutical product output in Russia grows 6% in Jan-Sept
MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - The production of pharmaceutical products in Russia increased 5.9% year-on-year in January-September, data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) show.
Output of packaged antibiotics increased 11.1% to 84 million units, in vials - 7.8% to 288.8 million units. The production of cardiovascular medicines in ampoules decreased 1.8% to 170.1 million units, in vials 15.1% to 298.2 million units. Output of packaged medicines for treating oncological diseases increased 48.8% to 10.24 million units, though it was down 79.1% at 548,000 units for such medicines in vials.
