Kazatomprom net profit plummets 82% in 9M

ALMATY. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Kazatomprom posted net profit of 9.235 billion tenge to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in January-September 2013, down 82% from 51.201 billion tenge during the same of 2012, Kazakhstan's national nuclear corporation said in a statement.

Kazatomprom's revenue increased 28.2% to 131.9 billion tenge, gross profit grew 430% to 17.9 billion tenge. The company's assets shrank 8.7% to 340.7 billion tenge and liabilities - 21.4% to 125.6 billion tenge (153.91 tenge/$1 on Oct. 18).

Kazatomprom is Kazakhstan's national operator for export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, special equipment, technologies and double-use materials.
