Sistema owner Yevtushenkov says interested in Uralkali, but price too high

NARYAN-MAR. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Vladimir Yevtushenkov, the core owner of oil-to-telecoms holding Sistema , said he would be interested in buying a stake in potash miner Uralkali , but that the current sale price is too high.

"I'm interested in Uralkali, but it's a question of price," Yevtushenkov told reporters.

Asked at what price he would be prepared to buy Uralkali, he said: "The price that is on the screen, without a premium."

Yevtushenkov said he was looking at buying in to Uralkali in a partnership. "Perhaps together with Gutseriyev, perhaps with Sberbank ," he said.

Yevtushenkov said Sistema was not planning to sell its stake in oil company Bashneft in order to fund the purchase of shares in Uralkali. "No, there's no question of that. We have enough money," he said.
