Putin to accept credentials from foreign ambassadors on Oct 23

MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin will accept credentials from the newly-appointed ambassadors of 19 countries and from the European Union's permanent envoy on October 23.

By tradition, the ceremony will be held in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, the Kremlin press service reported.

Credentials will be presented by the ambassadors of the Lebanese Republic, the Republic of Chad, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of Paraguay, the Hellenic Republic (Greece), the Portuguese Republic, the Republic of Iraq, the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Panama, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Cyprus, Mongolia, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Latvian Republic, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Ireland, the Kingdom of Norway and the European Union.

Following the presentation of credentials the ambassadors and the permanent envoys of international organizations gain official status.
