Russia and Belarus military officials to discuss cooperation in 2014

MINSK. Oct 25 (Interfax-AVN) - The next session of the joint board of the Russian and Belarusian Defense Ministries will be held in Moscow on October 29, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on its website.

"During the session, the sides will discuss ways to further promote military cooperation between Belarus and Russia, the progress made in implementing the 2013-2015 Joint Action Plan of the two countries' Defense Ministries to maintain military security in the Russia-Belarus Union, and the results of the Zapad (West)-2013 joint strategic exercises of the Belarusian and Russian Armed Forces. They will also outline the main avenues of joint work for the following year," it said.

Moscow and Minsk take turns hosting sessions of the Defense Ministries' joint board. These events take place once every six months.
