Putin to head science, education council

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the structure of the science and education council under the Russian president and its presidium, the Kremlin press office said on Friday.

According to the decree, Putin will head the council. Russian Academy of Sciences President Vladimir Fortov and presidential aide Andrei Fursenko have been approved as deputy chairmen.

Fursenko will also head the council's presidium.
