Senator Ryabukhin expected to take reins at Federation Council budget committee

MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - A former Audit Chamber auditor, Senator Sergei Ryabukhin, will be taking over the Federation Council's budget committee this week.

Ryabukhin's candidacy for the committee post was approved by the committee on Monday and will be officially confirmed during a session of the upper house of parliament on Wednesday.

Ryabukhin was an Audit Chamber auditor for six years.

The committee chairmanship has been vacant since this past April, when Senator Yevgeny Bushmin departed to become the deputy speaker of the upper house.
