Ivanishvili didn't expect Bakradze to receive so many votes

TBILISI. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said he is surprised that David Bakradze, a candidate from the former ruling party United National Movement, has received 21% of the votes in the Sunday presidential elections in Georgia.

"I used to say our society has no experience of public administration and these elections have confirmed that. It took the Americans a lot of time to create a responsible and principled society. I didn't expect the National Movement to get so many votes. It all happened because our voters didn't vote, they were irresponsible. The voter turnout was very low," Ivanishvili told a press conference on Monday.
