U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan receives strange envelope with white powder
BISHKEK. Oct 29 (Interfax) - A suspicious envelope filled with white powder was delivered to the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan on Monday, a diplomat mission spokesman told Interfax on Tuesday.
Kyrgyzstan's security services have already been notified of the incident, he said.
The chemical composition of the powder is currently being established, he added.
The spokesman declined to say whether the envelope had been delivered by domestic or international mail services.
All embassy employees are now at their workplaces, and the diplomatic mission is operating as usual today, he added.
