Tax maneuver could cost Bashneft 1 bln rubles in 2014
MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Bashneft estimates that the government's tax maneuver in the oil industry could cost the company a maximum of 1 billion rubles, or $30 million-$40 million next year, CEO Alexander Korsik said at the Global Energy Intelligence Day conference.
"This will have a certain negative impact on our EBITDA. But we're talking about a maximum of a billion rubles, $30 million-$40 million next year, no more," Korsik said.
He also said that Bashneft expects to find new oil reserves in Bashkortostan. "We've come to the conclusion that there could be very significant reserves there," Korsik said.
The company also hopes to find significant reserves at blocks in the Nenets Autonomous District that the oil company bought next to the Trebs and Titov fields.
