Russian Grids, Russian Railways to cooperate in electricity sector
MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Russian Grids and Russian Railways (RZD) have formed a working group on cooperation in the area of electricity and transport infrastructure, the power grid company's spokesman, Dmitry Bobkov told Interfax.
He said the group was formed to coordinate the use of scientific and investment potential in the area of electricity and transport infrastructure. The group is headed by Russian Grids first deputy CEO for technical policy Roman Berdnikov and RZD senior vice president Valentin Gapanovich.
A source close to Russian Grids told Interfax that the companies might work on joint projects with the possibility of synchronization with RZD's networks.
The companies intend to work out a common technical policy for power grids and supplies to railway infrastructure.
