ATHENS. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The parameters of an upcoming international conference on Syria, also referred to as Geneva II, will be discussed at a Russian-U.S. meeting to be attended by UN special envoy Lakhdar Brahimi in Geneva in early November, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Russian-U.S. technical contacts will take place next week to consider organizational issues related to preparations for the conference, and Lakhdar Brahimi will take part in these consultations," Lavrov said at a press conference in Athens on Wednesday.
"We also expect to inform other Security Council permanent members and other parties concerned about the conference parameters, which are taking shape," he said.
