Surprise exercise of nuclear deterrence force with missile launches conducted under Putin's leadership - Peskov

MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - A surprise check and exercise of the nuclear deterrence forces, aerospace defense, navy and strategic aviation have been conducted under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Vladimir Putin, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has announced.

"Ballistic missiles were launched, the air defense and missile defense systems were used," he said.

"All launches took place as expected. All of the practice targets were hit," Peskov said.
