Russian govt decides to freeze Transneft tariffs in 2014
MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - The Russian government has decided to freeze oil pipeline monopoly Transneft's tariffs in 2014, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters.
"Yes," he said, when the question was put to him on the sidelines of an innovation forum.
Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said Transneft's tariffs will not be indexed for 2014. The minister said that several of Transneft's investment projects may have to be pushed back due to this. "We are now looking, together with Transneft, at its investment program. Investments may be partially put off," he said. The company and ministry are discussing how to minimize risk to the implementation of planned projects, he said.
Federal Tariff Service (FTS) Sergei Novikov said later in October that no decision had been reached to index Transneft's tariffs or not. "There's been no formal decision on Transneft," he said.
