Medvedev vows Greenpeace case will be considered justly, in compliance with Russian law
MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has assured French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault that the case of the Greenpeace activists will be considered justly and in strict accordance with Russian law.
"The French Republic and the French public should have no doubt that this case will be considered in strict compliance with Russian regulations, based on reasons of justice, and in line with our national law," Medvedev said at a press conference following negotiations with Ayrault on Friday.
Russia hears all concerns that France and other countries have aired on the matter, Medvedev said. "What we can certainly guarantee is compliance with Russian law," he said.
