Ukrainian steel industry ups roll output 1% in 10M

KYIV. June 3 (Interfax) - Ukraine's steel industry produced 24.398 million tonnes of roll in January-October 2013, 1% more than in the same period of last year, the Metallurgprom association told Interfax.

Crude steel production rose 1% also to 27.398 million tonnes, and pig iron production was up 2% to 24.297 million tonnes.

The country produced 1.404 million tonnes of steel pipes, down 21% year-on-year.
