Husband says Pussy Riot's Tolokonnikova transferred to Krasnoyarsk Territory jail
MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Pyotr Verzilov claims that his wife Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, one of the convicted performers of the feminist punk group Pussy Riot, has been transferred to a penitentiary in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Verzilov told Interfax on Tuesday, citing a source in the Federal Penitentiary Institutions Service, that his wife would continue to serve her sentence at Penal Colony No. 50 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
"We have been informed today that there is a 90% degree of certainty that Nadezhda was transferred to Penal Colony No. 50, which is located in the village of Nizhny Ingash in the Krasnoyarsk Territory," he said.
Tolokonnikova's new penitentiary is located 4,400 kilometers from Moscow, he said.
Russian human rights commissioner Vladimir Lukin told Interfax on Tuesday that Tolokonnikova was currently en route to her new penitentiary.
According to Lukin, the administration of the Federal Penitentiary Institutions Service assured him that Tolokonnikova was feeling well and eating properly, and that she was being accompanied by a doctor.
