OSCE Secretary General Zannier coming to Moscow
MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General Lamberto Zannier (Italy) will pay an annual working visit to Moscow on November 7-8, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"During the visit we expect to discuss with the secretary general pressing matters of the European agenda, including preparations for a meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs due in Kyiv on December 5-6, 2013, and prospects of the Helsinki +40 Process aimed to develop a strategic vision for European cooperation by the 40th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act, [which will be observed] in 2015," the report stated.
"We intend to convey to L. Zannier Russia's priorities at the OSCE and our vision of further deterrence of transnational threats, creation of a common space without dividing lines, strengthening of the OSCE and improvement of the efficiency of its executive bodies," the Russian ministry said.
Zannier will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and hold consultations with Russian Deputy Foreign Ministry Alexei Meshkov.
He will also have meetings at the Russian Federal Assembly and the CSTO Secretariat and deliver a speech at the Russian Foreign Ministry MGIMO University.
