Russian Agricultural Bank deputy chairman resigns
MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Russian Agricultural Bank Deputy Chairman Andrei Alyakin has resigned, the bank said in a press release.
"Andrei Alyakin has resigned his post as deputy chairman of the Russian Agricultural Bank because of his plans to implement new projects," the bank told Interfax.
Alyakin's resignation follows shortly after Pushkino Bank had its license revoked. Pushkino Bank had previously belonged to Andrei Alyakin's brother Alexei for a long time.
The Central Bank of Russia withdrew Pushkino Bank's license on September 30 because the bank failed to comply with federal legislation, regulating banking activities and Central Bank requirements.
Pushkino Bank passed from Alyakin to the lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky in the spring of 2013. Preliminary figures indicate the Deposit Insurance Agency may have to pay out 20.2 billion rubles.
RSHB is wholly owned by the government. It was ranked number five by asset value in the Interfax-100 review of Russia's banks for January-September 2013.
