Ukrainian administration is doing everything possible to sign association agreement with EU in Vilnius - Azarov

KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian president and government are taking all necessary steps to sign to sign an association agreement with the European Union at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.

"The president and the government are doing everything possible to sign the association agreement," Azarov told reporters in Donetsk on Saturday, the Ukrainian Cabinet reported on its website.

At the same time, Azarov said the Ukrainian administration is doing everything it can to resume trade turnover with Russia.

"The resumption of the trade turnover is a key issue to us. The president and the government are doing everything possible to find solutions to it," he said.

Azarov reiterated that the measures taken by the government to diversify Ukrainian exports are long-term and "cannot be implemented in the short-term perspective."
