New car, LCV sales in Russia decline 8% in October - AEB
MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia were down 8% year-on-year at 234,481 vehicles in October, the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Businesses said.
Sales fell 7% in January-October to 2.281 million.
"The general sales trend remains weak on a rather consistent level - we see neither signs for improvement nor for further deterioration. As we are approaching the year end, it becomes clearer that the long-awaited market stabilization is unlikely to happen before the end of 2013," Joerg Schreiber, Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, was quoted as saying.
