CIS premiers to agree on data security cooperation in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - A data security cooperation agreement is scheduled to be signed at the St. Petersburg meeting of CIS prime ministers on November 20.

"Five documents, among them agreements on data security cooperation and consolidated financial statements of national economic entities, are being prepared for signing," says a report posted on the Russian government's website.

The meeting, which will be attended by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, may also witness the signing of protocols adjusting the CIS agreements regarding the country of origin of commodities, coordinated efforts in the electric power industry and promotion of exhibition and convention activities.

"The agenda of the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of [Prime Ministers] includes cooperation in trade, economy, energy and humanitarian affairs, such as education, tourism and the youth policy, and financial and budget issues," the report said.
