Federal Grid Co shareholders confirm Murov as CEO

MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Shareholders in Federal Grid Co (FGC) confirmed Andrei Murov as the company CEO in voting at an extraordinary meeting on Monday, an Interfax correspondent reported from the meeting.

A number of sources close to the government said that Murov, who has been serving as acting CEO, would be confirmed in the top job soon.

A government directive to that effect, signed by Energy Minister Alexander Novak, has been issued, the sources said. They also said that Oleg Budargin, the head of FGC's controlling shareholder, Russian Grids , would soon be named chairman of the board at FGC.

Murov was previously first deputy CEO at the FGC, when Budargin was CEO.

FGC owns and operates the unified national electricity grid. Russian Grids owns 80.60% of shares.
