WARSAW. Nov 12 (Interfax) - At least 19 people were injured and another 72 were detained as a result of riots that erupted in Warsaw during a march by nationalists marking Poland's Independence Day on November 11, Poland's TVN24 television station reported on Tuesday, citing the city's police.
Twelve policemen were injured as well, it said.
According to the report, shops were attacked and fire was set to cars and Independence Day decorations in Warsaw.
Polish far-right demonstrators also hurled bottles, flares and litter at the Russian Embassy's compound in the Polish capital.
"Litter, bottles and flares fly into the embassy premises. Neither a fire has broken out, nor has any other damage been done," an embassy spokesman told Interfax on Monday evening.
It was also reported that demonstrators had set fire to a guard's booth outside the embassy's fence.
The Polish ambassador to Russia has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry over the incident.
"Polish Ambassador to Russia Wojciech Zajaczkowski has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry due to yesterday's outrageous acts towards the Russian Embassy in Warsaw," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
