Seoul denies recognition to Pyongyang's nuclear status - South Korean president
SEOUL. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The Republic of Korea will never recognize the nuclear status of North Korea, South Korean President Park Geun-hye said.
"We exchanged opinions about our downright refusal to acknowledge the North Korean nuclear status under any circumstances," she said after negotiations with the Russian president.
That is necessary for maintaining peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the region as a whole, she stressed.
Park said she had presented her vision of ways to maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula and Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his understanding of her ideas.
