Gutseriev to invest up to 10 bln rubles in B&N Bank
NOVOSIBIRSK. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Mikhail Gutseriev, who founded B&N Bank in 1992, will become a bank shareholder in 2014, the bank's president and chief owner, Mikhail Shishkhanov, told journalists on Monday.
"In order to increase Tier 1 capital, the next phase will be the arrival of Mikhail Gutseriev. We are currently at the stage of agreeing all the procedures. I am investing three billion of my own money. I had tentative talks with Mikhail Gutseriev and he approved. This is the first time I have told this to journalists. Because I very much hope that he will provide Tier 1 capital next year," Shishkhanov said.
Shishkhanov told Interfax after the press conference that Gutseriev would invest 5 billion-10 billion rubles in the bank.
Shishkhanov controls 97.604% of shares in B&N Bank. Gutseriev, who founded the bank and served as its first president, is Shishkhanov's uncle.
B&N Bank was the 33rd biggest Russian bank by assets as of the end of the third quarter of 2013 according to the Interfax-100 ranking compiled by the Center for Economic Analysis..
