Ten body fragments tentatively identified after Kazan plane crash - Tatarstan Health Ministry
KAZAN. Nov 19 (Interfax) - A forensic laboratory of Tatarstan's Health Ministry is conducting DNA tests to identify some of the people killed in the crash of a Boeing-737 passenger jet in Kazan.
"Ten body fragments were tentatively identified as of Tuesday morning," a ministry spokesman told Interfax.
The spokesman did not say whether they had been identified visually or with the help of DNA tests.
A total of 494 body fragments retrieved from the site of the plane crash were delivered to the forensic laboratory.
Tatarstan Airlines' Boeing-737 airplane crashed at it prepared to land at Kazan Airport late on November 17, killing all 44 passengers, including two children, and all six crewmembers onboard.
