"Black box" data demonstrates technical failures in crashed Boeing - source

MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax) - The tentative data collected from the flight data recorder of the Boeing passenger aircraft, which crashed in Kazan, Tatarstan, shows that the plane experienced technical failures before it flew the second pre-landing circle, a source close to the investigative team told Interfax on Tuesday.

"Preliminary data has been obtained from the flight data recorder. Reportedly, something went wrong, technical problems occurred several minutes before the accident, most likely before the plane circled around for a second approach," the source said.

He did not say whether the failures were critical. "It's much too early to say that. The information is tentative and an analysis has yet to be conducted," the source explained.
