Kazan Boeing crew had never performed go-around before
KAZAN. Nov 19 (Interfax) - The crew of the Boeing 737 airliner that crashed in Kazan on Sunday had never performed a go-around before, said Tatarstan Airlines General Director Aksan Giniyatullin.
"I don't think they had done that before," he told reporters.
A Boeing 737 airliner of Tatarstan Airlines crashed in Kazan on Sunday, killing 50 people. It had departed from Moscow's Domodedovo airport.
The plane was rated as flight worthy before departure from Moscow, Giniyatullin said.
"If the plane had not complied with safety standards, it would never have been cleared to fly," he said.
