Most Syrian opposition groups take interest in Moscow proposal on informal talks - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Most of the Syrian opposition groups have taken interest in Russia's proposal on holding informal consultations between various opposition groups and the Syrian government in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We feel interest in this proposal on the part of an overwhelming majority of opposition groups, be it the National Coordination Committee, the National Coalition, Kurdish organizations, or other groups," Lavrov said at a meeting with a Syrian government delegation in Moscow.

"We are not trying to replace those who render principal support to this or that opposition group, but we only want our position to be heard directly in an undistorted and untwisted form," he said.
