Georgian prime ministerial candidate calls previous regime "anti-fascist"
TBILISI. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Georgian prime ministerial candidate Irakly Garibashvili called the previous government neo-fascist while speaking at the parliament on Tuesday.
"Your regime ruling Georgia was a neo-fascist entity. Your regime convicted 300,000 citizens of Georgia in nine years," Garibashvili said at a meeting with the parliamentary opposition.
He vowed that investigative bodies will soon bring to justice those officials who "issued orders to abduct and kill people."
It was reported earlier that the Georgian parliament is supposed to endorse a new government led by Garibashvili at an extraordinary session on Wednesday.
