Putin: Despite differences, Russia and Turkey will continue to work together on Syria

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin says that, despite some differences in views on the crisis in Syria with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the parties will continue to look for a compromise.

"Our approaches may not coincide, but this does not prevent us from looking for acceptable approaches to the resolution of grave international crises together," Putin said following a meeting with Erdogan on Friday.

Putin said Erdogan and he had discussed the situation in the Middle East on the whole and in Syria in particular at the 4th session of the top-level cooperation council in St. Petersburg.
