Russian govt may undergo renewal after Olympics - Zyuganov

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Russian Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov believes a situation favorable for the government's renewal may be formed in Russia after the Sochi Olympics.

"We are realists and I understand very well that, even if Putin needs to immediately renew the government, he will not do so before the Olympics, but I assure you that this idea will prevail after the Olympics and there will be a more professional, effective government," Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said in an interview on the program Vesti Nedeli aired on Rossiya 1 television.

Zyuganov recalled that the votes of the three opposition parties represented in the parliament will not be enough to vote for the government's dismissal in the State Duma.

"United Russia will soon vote for it too," Zyuganov said.
