Russian, U.S., UN diplomats meet in Switzerland to discuss preparations for Geneva II

GENEVA. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Three-party negotiations between Russia, the United States and the UN on preparations for the peace conference on Syria have begun in Geneva.

The Russian delegation in these negotiations is led by Russian Deputy Foreign Ministers Gennady Gattilov and Mikhail Bogdanov.

The Russian diplomats may have contacts with representatives of the Syrian opposition later on Monday and on Tuesday, a source with knowledge on the matter told Interfax.

Specifically, the diplomats may meet with Badr Jamus, general secretary of the National Coalition of Syria's Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, the source said.
