Opposition leaders Yatsenyuk, Lutsenko want to confer with Tymoshenko

KHARKIV. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's associates, leader of the Batkivshchina parliamentary faction Arseniy Yatsenyuk , ex-Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and member of the Batkivshchina parliamentary faction Iryna Lutsenko have arrived at Clinical Hospital No.5 to see Tymoshenko.

"We will try to secure a permit to see Yulia Vladimirovna, although I have just learned that quarantine had been introduced in the whole of the Kharkiv region. Really, those who have introduced it suffer from political idiocy and must be quarantined. We will enter the building now and demand that we be allowed to see Yulia Vladimirovna in accordance with the law," Yatsenyuk told reporters at the entrance to the clinic.

He said several issues would be discussed, including the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.

"Yulia Tymoshenko has made a clear statement that an association agreement must be signed with the European Union. We will fly to the EU and meet with European leaders. And we want to discuss an agreed position once again," the politician said.

Also, rallies in support of European integration, being held in Kyiv and in the regions, will be discussed alongside strategic issues related to the party, he said.

Lutsenko said the decision to restrict visitors' access to Tymoshenko is proof that the Ukrainian leaders are weak.
