Two gunmen killed in Ingushetia - National Antiterrorist Committee

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Two members of the so-called Nazran gang were killed during a special operation in Ingushetia, the National Antiterrorist Committee told Interfax on Wednesday.

Security services had received information on the presence of members of illegal armed groups in a house in the village of Pliyevo in the Nazran district, the NAC said.

"The gunmen hiding in the house opened fire on the law enforcement officers. The necessary forces and resources were deployed to the conflict scene," it said.

Then the special operation grew into an active phase, during which two gunmen were neutralized, it said.

"Preliminary findings indicate that they were active members of one of the Nazran gang's cells," it said.
